Luke has over 26 years experience in the property industry, spanning local and central government, SOEs, and private companies, with particular expertise in the management and development of corporate property portfolios and project management of significant civic structures and communal portfolios. He undertook a repositioning of the Three Guys Supermarket Chain (now Countdown) for Progressive Enterprises which, with 15 years experience in the building sector, has given him hands-on experience in the construction industry. This, together with extensive knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, equips him with the unique diversity of skills required for portfolio management and successful project management. Luke has also worked closely with local authorities and iwi during Treaty negotiations and settlement and manages post settlement iwi portfolios. His contribution to Rowing NZ (as interim CEO and current Board member) has coincided with the sport's success on the world stage.
Joanne completed a Valuation and Property Management Degree from Lincoln University in 1991. After receiving a national scholarship with Valuation New Zealand, she worked with that organisation as valuer until 1993, then for McDowell & Co. Valuers in Rotorua until 1997. Joanne gained PINZ registration in 1995, advanced to Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers in 1997 and was awarded a Fellowship of the institute in 2009. She was the first woman in Rotorua to be awarded this honour. Joanne has wide local authority property portfolio experience gained while working for local authorities in London (1990s) and then as Hamilton City Council Property Portfolio Manager. In 2003 Joanne formed Property Strategies now rebranded as APL Property. Joanne established the Women in Property Network in Rotorua and is an elected member of the Property Management and Asset Council of PINZ.
Daniel has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago. He has worked in the asset management industry for over 8 years in a variety of institutional client facing roles. Living in the UK for 5 years he rose to the level of Assistant Vice President with Wells Fargo, dealing with some of the world's largest pension, sovereign wealth and family office funds. On returning to New Zealand Daniel worked for himself building strong local experience in resource and property management. At APL Daniel works on a variety of local and central Government property management, commercial leasing, project feasibility studies and Ministry of Education school property advisory projects.

Jeff's qualifications and experience centres on providing professional property services to central and local Government clients, as well as private commercial property owners. Jeff has completed a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University majoring in Finance and Property Valuation and Management and is a LINZ Accredited Supplier of Crown property services. He is also a member of the New Zealand Property Institute.
Jeff has an in depth understanding of the regulatory framework within which central and local Government property owners and tenants operate. This includes the disposal process and offer back obligations under the Public Works Act 1981.
Jeff works closely with Land Information New Zealand across various contracts held by APL involving property management, disposal, tenure review, and various activities on high country pastoral leases. Jeff also manages commercial property for private sector clients within Queenstown.

With extensive knowledge of the Queenstown property market, Joanne has been a commercial Property Manager in Queenstown since 1987 and is now considered to be the leading Property Manager in the district. Lauren has over five years of property management experience gained during her previous employment with Port Marlborough Limited. Lauren is passionate about property management, is a member of the Property Institute of NZ and regularly attends Women in Property events in Wellington and Christchurch. Fiona's role at APL includes residential tenancy and rental management, monthly reporting, carpark leases and approval of building covenants. She has extensive administrative and customer service experience having previously worked as a Manager and Budget Advisor with two budgeting services, an Administration Officer within the education industry and a Customer Services Officer in the insurance industry. Fiona joined APL in March 2016.
Brad's role at APL includes property management, leases and licensing. Brad has extensive experience in project management through his previous employment with Air New Zealand and the Marlborough District Council. Brad is passionately South African and enjoys mountain biking and a braai after 5pm. Brad is the health and safety officer for the Blenheim office and enjoys creating a safe and enjoyable workspace for all.
Helen graduated from Massey University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business in Valuation and Property Management. Helen then joined Property Strategies (rebranded to APL Property) where she has gained experience in managing investment portfolios, tenancies, acquisition and disposal of properties, lease/licence negotiation, building compliance and asset management. She has also completed condition assessment surveys for iwi trusts and local authorities. Helen has recently obtained Membership of the Property Institute of New Zealand and is Chair of the Rotorua/Taupo PINZ Branch and co-ordinator for the Bay of Plenty Branch of Women in Property.
Jill has lived in Rotorua all her life and understands the area and its unique culture well. After 12 years of managing her own business with her partner, Jill worked for the Ministry of Social Development for eight years. She started with the benefit fraud unit and moved onto MSD's national accounting centre into the role of managing occupancy contracts. The role was varied and it included participating in the tender process with GETS, ensuring contract compliance and obtaining the best service for the smooth operation of MSD sites. More recently Jill worked in the insurance industry and this provides valuable assistance to body corporates in deciding on the optimum package for their complexes. Jill's experience operating her own business and owning residential properties gives her the drive, enthusiasm and skills to work hard for APL Property and its clients. Her rapport and collaborative approach allows her to achieve consistently.
James graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology. Prior to joining APL Queenstown in 2016, James spent several years overseas working in mining and mineral exploration. Jamesâ€™ time working in the extractive resource industries provided him with experience managing small projects, contractor engagement and health and safety. James is particularly interested in property management and development and is currently studying part time towards a Diploma in Construction Management from The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.
Chris recently completed his final year at Massey University undertaking a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Valuation and Property Management with a minor in Marketing. Originally from Palmerston North, he spent a few years living in Wanaka where he worked at Cardrona following his passion for snowboarding. Following this, Chris spent a few years living in the US where he gained valuable skills and experience managing luxury ski vacation homes. Malcolm is a Registered Valuer and Registered Primary Industry Consultant with over 40 years experience, particularly in the Central Otago and Queenstown Southern Lakes Districts and has a prolific knowledge of the area. Malcolm is fully qualified and experienced in all facets of urban and rural valuation work. He established his practice based in Alexandra in 1977 and expanded with full time office in Queenstown in 1995 and Wanaka in 2006, joining APL in 2012. Farm valuation and consultancy are a passion for Malcolm which is recognised by his loyal client base. Holly is originally from England but moved to Queenstown just under a year ago. During, and since leaving Univeristy in London she has had multiple roles in admin and customer service, in both England and New Zealand. Holly joined the APL Queenstown office in March 2017 providing professional assistance and support to the valuation team, as well as the duties of those of a typist, receptionist and administrator. On her evenings and weekends she can often be found singing with her guitarist in the local bars around Queenstown.
Trish was born and raised in Queenstown. She moved away from Queenstown in 1982 returning in 1996. Since then Trish has had various customer service and administration roles with QLDC, SBS Bank and the Queenstown Library and has spent some time as a volunteer at the Citizens Advice Bureau. Trish joined APL in April 2014 as typist and office support to the valuation team.
Jessica grew up in Marlborough and left after finishing high school to complete a Bachelor of Arts at Victoria University in Wellington. Jessica joined APL in February 2017 after spending 5 years overseas working various administrative and customer service roles for companies such as Trade Me, ANZ and Christie's. Jessica's role at APL includes receptionist, health and safety, and related office administration work.

Originally from the USA, Jayna now calls Queenstown home and comes to APL with more than 10 years of accounting experience at a local Queenstown real estate firm. Jayna joined APL in Feburary 2016 and in her role manages the accounting functions for the Queenstown office.
